The La Crescent Hockey Association would like to officially invite the Cedar Rapids Hockey Association to our Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam tournaments. La Crescent, MN, is located on the Mississippi River just 2 miles west of La Crosse, Wisconsin. La Crescent puts on a very professional tournament. I am sure your hockey parents will be satisfied with the facility, numerous restaurants, hotel amenities, and local area attractions.

All tournaments are sanctioned by Minnesota Youth Hockey. The following are the tournament divisions and dates.
Þ Squirt B (MN-B / WI-A) – 6 team round robin (December 12 – 14 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday))
Þ Squirt C (MN-C / WI-B) – 6 team round robin (December 12 – 14 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday))
Þ Peewee B (MN-B / WI-A) – 8 team bracket (January 24 – 25 (Saturday & Sunday))
Þ Bantam B (MN-B / WI-A) – 8 team bracket (January 17 – 18 (Saturday & Sunday))

In addition to the highly successful Water park tournaments in the Wisconsin Dells we will be hosting tournaments at Center Ice of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Also new for 2008-2009 is a girls tournament as well as midgets.

Cedar Rapids Hockey Association Teams are invited to participate in the 3rd Annual Capital City Freeze Tournament on November 7-9, 2008, at the Nelson Center in Springfield, Illinois.
This USA Hockey registered tournament is a Missouri Hockey tournament consisting of AA and strong A teams at the Mite, Squirt, Peewee and Bantam levels. We also intend to have a fifth division for Squirt B teams.
During its first two years of operation, this tournament hosted teams from Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Indiana, and Ohio. The Nelson Center is a 2-ice rink facility managed by the Springfield Park District.
This years' tournament features:
*** Four Game Guarantee
*** Team entry fee of $675. This is one of the least expensive tournaments in the Midwest
*** Skills Competition on Saturday
*** Each player will receive a ticket to the Springfield Jr. Blues game on Saturday Night at the Nelson Center. The Junior Blues are a Junior A team playing in the North American Hockey League
*** Trophies/Awards for all players
*** Sports Action Photography provided by Sideline Shots
Plus, Springfield is the home of Abraham Lincoln and there are many many historic and educational sites, along with museums, within the community. Most of these sites are within a few miles of the Nelson Center. You could visit some of these sites between games. There are also many attractions and plenty of shopping areas.
